Second Quarter Extra Credit

Read a book about a physical science. (Astronomy, geology, chemistry, physics, meteorology, etc.)

Book should be 200+pages.

Write a 3 page summary of the book, describing what the book was about,

And a 1 page reaction paper describing your reaction to the book. What did you like? What didn’t you like? The papers should be typed and double-spaced.

In addition, do 4 cross-references.

Find 4 factual claims made in the book, and then find another book that authenticates (or refutes) those facts.

Use standard citation techniques to describe where you found the confirming information.

You cannot use the same source to confirm more than 1 claim.
